I may have to interact with middleware, enterprise apps that may be in SAP or Seybold, and I may even have to go off to some legacy app that’s in COBOL.

I’ve been working recently with Darren Pritchard at a site that’s fairly new to SharePoint. They came up with a number of fairly basic ‘how to’ questions and Darren has put together some basic information for them. It seemed that if these new SharePoint users and had lots of questions, then so would many other sites. So it made sense to make this information available to the SharePoint community as a whole. This site was using SharePoint 2007.

Micro Focus International PLC (MCRO.LN), a provider of enterprise application management solutions, Wednesday said it expected to achieve improved half-year revenue of $216 million and added that selective acquisitions will continue to be part of its growth strategy in future.
The Group’s Cobol Development, Modernization and Migration lines of business are expected to report revenues of $146 million which on a constant currency basis will show a year on year increase of 3.7%.
