Too late, the cloud cannot be the next big thing, it is the current big thing. What does everyone talk about? Web 2.0 – cloud based. Facebook – cloud. Google – cloud. Google vs Microsoft search – aka “who has the best cloud”.
The cloud is here and it is transforming the world – now? Google’s cloud is so big and so powerful that the Chinese government appear to have recognized it as a strategic target.
How much more ‘now’ does the Cloud need to be? Thinking of the cloud is the next big thing is like standing on the deck on a sinking ship thinking “I wonder when it will be a good time to swim” whilst looking UP at the surface of the water!
